well I could see that easier, than him being a loser, the way that Brevoort and Quesada are portraying him in the comics.

In all honesty, as long as you take that quote for the Spidey part of him, the young reckless prankster (with the humongous sense of responsibility, but still), then the quote isn't that wrong.

Peter does get freer and more rebellious in his behavior as soon as he puts the mask on.
