So... Catwoman and Bane, eh?

Putting aside the whole "wait, isn't Bane Hispanic?" (yes, but hell if I'm going to discuss the race of a comic book character from the 90s) thing, can we just be glad that our female lead isn't Vicki Vale, or the most generic love interest Batman has ever met? Seriously, she's not a character, she's a Trivial Pursuits answer.

Q: The woman Batman is least likely to end up with is...

A. A cat burglar who possesses the only real understanding of Batman's dark psychology.

B. The daughter of his worst enemy, torn between loyalty to her father and her love for Batman.

C. An Amazon princess who fights a never-ending battle for justice and equality.

D. A reporter most famous for being objectified in an issue of All-Star Batman & Robin.

ETA: Although if they were going the Hispanic route with Bane, wouldn't Javier Bardem have been an awesome choice?

Rachel was actually not just a desire object, she was supposed to be a moral compass. Katie Holmes' annoyingness made her come across like, as one reviewer put it, a student council president.

I don't know. I think she's played in a way that makes her this desirable saint (while she never gets with Bruce Wayne; it's clear that Bruce was in love with her.) Although student council president is a pretty apt description too.

That anon above is me.
