I hope there isn't a race involved at some point

So Mark Millar is writing a comic book called Superior, about a young boy with multiple sclerosis who is granted a wish to become his favorite superhero, a hokey Superman figure from the 1950s (who, bizarrely, has just had the latest of five blockbuster movies come out, so how irrelevant can he be? Sorry, it just bugs me). Thus far, the story has been a tasteful reimagining of the Captain Marvel premise, which brings me to my point: Pretty much all of Scans_Daily is just waiting for the story to devolve into Millarism (to me, the fact that the child protagonist says he's in deep shit locks it down. What are the odds that a bit of salty language is going to be the most objectionable material there?). And I can't imagine Millar's fanbase will enjoy a sentimental, nostalgic look at comic book heroes with little OH SHI- shock value. It makes me wonder if Millar has screwed himself, as far as stories he's able to tell, by positioning himself as the guy in comic publishing who names a magazine Cunt.

That doesn't even sound entertaining. Which is precisely the opposite of what most of Millar's stories have been like, historically: they sound like great ideas until he writes them.

This is the same guy who named a comic "Kick-Ass", right?

Also, Warren Ellis will probably name something that before Millar.
