So, Aang wins by learning deus-ex-machinabending? Alright then.

I'm still kinda surprised that everyone was all "You need to kill the Fire Lord!" just to set up a moral dilemma. I assumed it would just be in the heat of battle, but once they establish that Aang can capture him, what's to stop the Aang Gang from just neutralizing his bending as has happened in the series several times? Is he the Joker? Does he have a "get out of Boiling Rock free" card?

I guess it's to give him a comeuppance with a bit more 'oomph' than just getting a beatdown. Still, deus-ex-machinabending.

I think it is kind of a Joker situation in that he's going to escape whatever they devise for him if he has bending.

What was the deusexmachina bending? I watched this show a few times, but never really got into it. Still...I was curious how it'd all end.

Did he and that girl person water bender whose name is slipping my mind but I think begins with a K get together in the end?
