I always thought She-Hulk's story was one of the ultimate feminist superhero arcs ever, which is amazing considering it came out of Marvel Comics. :-) Seriously, you have a nervous, repressed, kind of Ally McBeal-ish woman, and she turns into this green Amazon who's assertive and strong-willed and likes to party, and everyone is "oh noes! You're green! Turn back!" and eventually she figures out, "You know, fuck you. I like being green, I like who I am when I don't give a shit about conforming to what you expect me to be. Why would I give up power and confidence just so I can be what you think I should be?"

And then she gets everything anyway. Because there is not one single man in the Marvel Universe who would kick Shulkie out of bed. :-) (Well, except Northstar, I guess. :-))

In the movieverse she doesn't even have to be related to Bruce. Any exposure to Bruce's blood apparently turns people into gamma mutates. She just has to be the kind of woman who'd help a guy who's hurt... which she is.
