The problem with the Trayvon Martin case is simple, it’s not about hoodies or profiling it’s about all the media exploitation. Since the explosion of live television coverage ala OJ Simpson every media outlet wants to capitalize on someone else’s pain and suffering. With the advent of such shows as Nancy Grace, Court TV ect, we as individuals sit back in the comfort of our home and make snap judgments about a case in which we are only getting perhaps 1/8 of the facts. We have idiots like Geraldo Rivera making his hoodies remarks. Because he’s a TV personality there is going to be a certain population of folks that believe it, never taking into account the man is an idiot. All they know is he is on television and the news reported therefore it’s true. We have a system that was established two hundred years ago. The media needs to stop exploiting the tragedy that befalls people and let our jurist prudence work. All of those shows that want to continuously hash over every minute detail of this case or any others needs to stop and let the system work as intended. This case is a tragedy, no matter what side of the fence you are on. A family has lost a child; another family struggles to understand what caused their child to take a life. Mr. Zimmerman of course will carry that burden of his actions the rest of his life.
