this was by far, the worst show i've seen in a long time! how about the fact that couldn't even be bothered to have found an actual Latina to play Minka Kelly's character -- which might explain that even though her character hailed from South America, lives in Miami, and didn't have a hint of an accent.

i've lived in Miami and even people born there in strong Latino communities have accents. then the scumbag criminal had a terrible accent himself! plus the acting... as you've pointed out, was flat-out terrible. i'd say it's surprising that Drew Barrymore put her name on this, but she's made a lot of duds herself, so perhaps it's easy for her to overlook.
