Fair point. Let me amend that to say there can't be two HBICs on the same team. And HBICs can take orders occasionally, just as a Magnificent Bastard can occasionally be caught off-guard or a badass can be defeated in combat. It would be the exception that proves the rule, though -- if Emma were always deferring to someone else, then that would be a strike against her HBIC status.
