It's so bad that I've actually seen legitimate, respected film critics seriously suggest that Shyamalan deliberately made this film terrible as revenge for the fact that his own children preferred Avatar the Last Airbender to the stories he told them that became the basis for Lady in the Water. And the sad part is, he's such an egomaniac that I can actually believe it.
