If loving Harrison Ford is wrong, I don't want to be right.

So I'm talking with a feminist friend when I make one of my hilarious and well-timed pop culture references, as I do, and she doesn't get it. Which is weird, because I get that a lot of people don't appreciate the oeuvre of Ron Perlman, but this is Indiana Jones! She's never seen Indiana Jones! And she's not, like, Amish or anything. She watches TV, she's a fangirl, so I ask the natural question -- "How can you watch Roswell and not Indy?"

"Roswell has more girls in it."

I'm never going to be that feminist. I would get an ulcer. From lack of Han Solo punching Nazis.

I'll try for this level of feminism. That cool?

Well, if Indiana Jones had been about her, and had performed the exact same script? Yeah, sure, it probably would have worked for me. ;-)

I think they tried that, just with a different name.

There's also that character from Supernatural, who was one of the few female characters the fans actualy liked. I'm fairly certain she was basically a realistic Lara.
