Controversy erupts after Picard calls Romulans "Rihannsu"

A transcript from last night's debate for the office of Starfleet Chiefs of Operations.

Kirk: Oh, come off it!

Picard: That's their name for themselves. It's what we should call them.

Kirk: Picard being pretentious. There's a new one. In my day, we didn't have time to settle for the correct pronunciation of "Rihannsu" in-between fist-fighting Klingons and defeating Greek Gods.

Picard: In your day, people were afraid to use the transporters in case they were split into two separate beings, one good, the other evil.

I'm seriously contemplating writing an essay on how superheroes and porn are "meta-genres," whereas westerns are a "niche genre," using the DC Universe's inclusion of science fiction, fantasy, westerns and romance comics characters and continuities in the same shared universe as an example.
